Subscriptions
Tuesday March 30 2010
In 2009, I watched as my reed waiting times go from a consistent 2 week waiting period, to the current 5-week waiting period it is today. This list varies in time accordingly to the season, but the period has not dipped below 3 weeks since the summer of 2009.
Having said this, I find myself needing to make policy changes in order to keep my own sanity, and to ensure reasonable delivery times to regular customers.
Starting in 2010, subscriptions are available and require a 3 month commitment. The subscription policies are as follows:
- I will send out an electronic invoice via paypal around the beginning of the month. If I do not receive payment within three days, your delivery times are not guaranteed.
- All pro subscription reeds are customizable within reason
- All pro subscription reeds are guaranteed, but must be returned within one week of receiving them. See policies for more information
- All reeds will be shipped out in a timely manner. The client may request a certain date to receive his/her reeds by.
- All subscription pro reeds will receive a $2/reed discount off the website price. All subscription student reeds will receive a $1/reed discount off the website price.
- All subscriptions are monthly, and have a minimum order of two reeds per month.
- Any client may start a subscription any time of the year, so if you’re not interested in subscribing now, you can certainly wait and make a decision down later on down the line.
- Subscription reeds paid on time always receive priority in time and shipment.
I am currently capping the amount of reeds I sell every month. Whatever number of reeds are not sold through subscription will then be sold to non-subscription orders. This means that non-subscription orders will no longer be guaranteed to be in stock, and will be on a first come, first serve basis.
Also, beginning in the fall of 2010, I will be moving to a Subscription-Only business, and will no longer take individual orders.
I have decided on this policy in order to ensure reasonable delivery times, and to reward returning customers. If you have any questions, complaints, or concerns, please feel free to correspond with me. Since I am new to these policies and I am sure they will need a bit of tweaking as I go along, I will be happy to help clarify anything that seems vague.
